Login
These tools help survey designers interact with the AWS backend. Login is required. Use project-local or manually supplied credentials for protected admin/designer pages:
{
"accessKeyId": " ",
"secretAccessKey": "YOUR_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY",
"region": "us-east-2"
}
Verify that your credentials are loaded here:
For convenience, you may save your credentials to LocalStorage for persistence across browser sessions.
Survey Chooser
After login, you may select a survey to work on from a list of all surveys to which you have access.
//viewof survey = Inputs.bind(Inputs.select(surveys, {label: "survey"}), localStorageView("designer-project", {
const surveyOptions = surveys.length ? surveys : ["(no surveys available)"];
const surveyElement = Inputs.bind(
Inputs.select(surveyOptions, { label: "survey" }),
localStorageView("designer-project", {
defaultValue:
surveyFromUrl ||
surveyFromStorage ||
surveyOptions[0]
})
);
const survey = Generators.input(surveyElement);

Questions
Both questions and layouts (addressed below) are core requirements for generating surveys. In an attempt to ease question writing for non-coders (with mixed results), the main survey data input is expected as a CSV file.
Initial survey questions are loaded by retrieving the most recent questions CSV, populating the questions input element, and notifying the reactive system that the input has changed.
Import external CSV of questions
Export questions to CSV
Exports are generated as Blobs with URLs.
CSV data integrity is evaluated on file upload.

Layout
LayoutElements listen for CSV data file inputs. The availability of initial state data is checked and, if present, a layout element is populated with its contents, and an input event is triggered so the reactive system recognizes the change. Layouts are stored in state and we display a confirmation string.

Questions with options but some of the options do not have a 'value'
All options need values defined; this is the key used to ensure updates to question text do not affect the endusers pre-existing answers.
Config
Config is additional data that might be useful such as the menu display titles.
